This Pontiac 461 Crate Engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT to bring your Firebird/Trans Am, Tempest, GTO/Goat, LeMans, etc to life! This engine has a rough idle. If you are using an A/T, a 3000rpm stall speed converter will be required.

The balanced rotating assembly includes:

  • 4.250" stroke crank
  • 6.800" I-beam rods with ARP rod bolts
  • With 10.4 to 1 compression forged pistons there is no need to mix fuel, this engine will run on Premium pump gas

More special features of this engine include:

  • New Forged pistons
  • Deck head gasket surface on block to ensure a good seal
  • New Hydraulic flat tappet cam with over .500" valve lift
  • New Edelbrock aluminum heads
  • 2.110"Int/1.660"Exh stainless swirl polished valves with 11/32" undercut stems for improved flow.
  • 1.440" High performance valve springs set up to match camshaft
  • New Roller tip rockers
  • New Double row timing set
  • New Oil pump
  • New Brass expansion plugs
  • New Edelbrock Performer intake manifold
  • All parts are painted separately before assembly for that show quality look

This engine comes completely assembled with oil pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, valve covers, and Edelbrock intake manifold.

Just like the 2012 Audi S6 and Avant, the 2012 S7 gets the new Audi/Bentley V8 with 420bhp and a 0-62mph of 4.9 seconds.

Nissan aiming to build radically different 2015 Le Mans prototype

By Ben Pulman 12 December 2013 12:00 Nissan is targeting an entry into the 2015 Le Mans 24hrs with a race car that will be radically different to the LMP1 prototypes fielded by Porsche, Audi and Toyota. Nissan will compete at Le Mans in 2014 with the radical ZEOD RC, filling the ‘experimental competitor’ pit garage last used in 2012 by the Nissan-powered DeltaWing, but it wants to use that experience to build a challenger for the premier LMP1 category in 2015, one that stands out from the rest of the field. ‘We have an active programme now,’ Nissan chief planning officer Andy Palmer (pictured, right) told CAR.

First Sight: Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222

It was one of the more memorable automotive events this year, and the massive thunderstorm only added to the drama. Last night Mercedes-Benz launched its new S-Class sedan in the delivery hall of Airbus in Hamburg and Car Design News was there to get the low-down on this eagerly-awaited limo. Context was fittingly provided by an A380 lounging in the background as the current lineup of Mercedes-Benz escorted Benz's big boy onto the stage, amidst artificial fireworks and real thunder and lightning.
