Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante leaks

Wed, 17 Nov 2010

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4-Spyder Performante at LA Lamborghini has commited to bringing a new model to every motor show. Sadly, that means a new model in whatever minor variation on a theme Sant’Agata can muster rather than an all new model. Still, a real new model every motor show would be pushing it even for Audi, and a new variant each motor show is still impressive from a company with just one current model – the Gallardo.

First Sight: Holden VE Commodore and Statesman

Fri, 28 Jul 2006

GM Holden last week launched its biggest program ever, the $1 billion all-new Holden VE Commodore range. Designed at Holden's Port Melbourne design center, the 4th generation Commodore is the first all-new model of the series to be fully designed and engineered in Australia. Previous generations of Commodore since 1978 have always been based on lengthened and widened Opel large car platforms of the day but since the demise of the European Omega in 2003, GM lacked a suitable rear-wheel-drive donor platform for a new Commodore, hence the clean sheet approach for the latest VE model.

Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street previews production VW Polo R

Thu, 17 May 2012

Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street The Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street that’s heading for the Worthersee Tour previews a production model of the VW Polo R. This time last year Ulrich Hackenberg, a VW Board member, confirmed that VW intended to build a production Polo R, and the Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street that’s arrived at the Worthersee Tour this week gives us a pretty good idea of what a Polo R will offer. VW make no mention of a 4WD platform for the Polo R in the stuff they’ve sent us, but with a 4WD version of the Polo platform developed for the Audi S1 and the Polo WRC car it seems likely VW’s new baby pocket rocket will be 4WD too.
