I think this is from my Dads 911 L (not sure) Had it for many years,
My Dad sold his car with a lot of extra parts because he always keep
his cars running Great by replacing engine components before their
wore out. This part and a few others I still have been in our old stock
room for many years. IT'S TIME TO CLEAN UP!
I searched the net and  found this information
Pelican Parts Porsche 911 Technical Forum
Please see Below

Discovered '68 distributor on '69 S.
0 231 169 001 is from a '68.
Any problem with running this dizzy on a '69 S w/webers?

According to Up-Fixen volume III, pp. 86-89.
The distributor 0 231 159 002 fits the 911S thru 6/68 and gives 24 degrees of advance and
they show a graph of the curve. Add to the static 5 BTDC gives 29 degrees total advance
at 6000 according to the text. On page 95 - for the 7/68 and on they show a 0 231 159 007.
No info on the 007. They show the 0 231 169 001 as fitting a 911 from 68 production (non S) - no graph
 on the 169 001 either.
Thinking about the engines – induction is the only differences – between early and later S, right?.
Would MFI – Webers change the curve requirements? However, looks like you have the regular 911 distributor.
