POWELL PH RACER - PLANS ON CD |
|
|
You will be buying a set of plans for the POWELL PH RACER aircraft.
It is what its name says it is! Relatively small, very fast for its size and weight, and not that difficult to construct (it will be a huge plus if you can weld or have access to a welder and a 'friend'). |

This material on this CD, complete with instructions and diagrams, should allow you to build this aircraft. This will NOT qualify as an 'ultralight' under current regulations in the United States, but should qualify as a 'sport-light' craft. The material on this CD is in PDF format and requires a PDF file-reader. If you do not already have a PDF file reader on your computer, there are many of these that are available on the internet for free downloading and free to use. |
The clarity of the text and the drawings is MUCH MUCH better than these reduced samples might lead you to believe. You will be happy with the material on this CD! |

Porsche Battery – a mere £1200
Thu, 10 Dec 2009The rather expensive Porsche Lithium Ion Battery Car batteries have been roughly the same shape and size – and utilised basically the same lead-acid technology – for years. They’ve got better, as you no longer need to top them up with distilled water at regular intervals (I’m showing my age now), and they are less prone to going flat. But that probably has more to do with alternators replacing dynamos than the batteries themselves.
Volvo XC90 grabs IIHS Top Safety Pick+ on its way out
Thu, 07 Nov 2013The Volvo XC90 may be the oldest car in Volvo's lineup, with 2013 being the last year for the XC90 before it's replaced by an entirely new model, but it has just captured the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick+ award. The award is a relatively new title, requiring a car or truck to achieve "Acceptable" or "Good" ratings on each IIHS test. Crucial to the Volvo XC90's achievement of this award was its performance in the new small overlap front tests, which test how a vehicle behaves in an front offset crash with a stationary object at high speeds.
