This is a pair of exact replica 1949-50 Oldsmobile wire covers that are steel stamped from 18 ga. steel, powder coated silver.  They were then professionally lettered in classic Chevrolet script in 1-shot enamel (NOT DECALS).

THE VALVE COVERS DEPICTED ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION

These wire routing plates will give your engine a classic retro look and you can display your Chevrolet pride.  Eliminate unsightly wire clutter and route your spark plug wires neatly.  They can be mounted on any valve covers where breathers and pcv do not interfere.  See photo with dimensions attached.  These covers will accept up to 10mm wires and all mounting hardware is included.

They can be mounted on SBC or BBC valve covers (see photos).  Oil fill and venting is up to you and your hot rod ingenuity.

FLAT $5 SHIPPING IN USA, actual costs elsewhere.   Questions? 208-890-5921

If you want to disguise your Chevrolet engine, I also have OLDSMOBILE ROCKET lettering on silver or gold routing plates.  See photos in "other auctions".

Drayson Racing and RCA launch EV racing car contest

Thu, 06 Dec 2012

Drayson Racing has launched a contest with the Royal College of Art's Vehicle Design program to design electric racing car concepts for the FIA's new Formula E series, which is set to start in 2014. The RCA's students are asked to present designs that explore new themes within the technical constraints as part of this course's curriculum. The previous Drayson Formula E concept was developed by Sergio Rinland who will be part of a series of workshops and lectures on aerodynamics, engineering packaging, production engineering and materials, giving students the technical knowledge to develop their designs.

Hyundai’s hydrogen-powered ix35 turns its hand to growing fish and food

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

The Hyundai ix35 FCEV Fuel Cell Farm outside the London Design Museum Hyundai PR do like a slightly left-field take on raising awareness of Hyundai’s products (although they usually involve animals, children, fashion or shopping), so a Hyundai ix35 FCEV turned in to a fuel cell farm should come as no surprise, nor that they parked it outside London’s Design Museum for a bit of extra profile. With the help of sustainability creatives (who’d have thought there was such a business?) Something & Son, Hyundai has created a Fuel Cell Farm (well, depending on your definition of how big something growing has to be to be called a farm) that uses the emissions from the ix35 FCEV as its water source. The setup takes the water from the ix35 and feeds it in to the fish tank, the fish do what fish do and the aquaponics gubbins takes that and uses it as food for the plants.
