Red Bull one-two in German Grand Prix
Sun, 12 Jul 2009Mark Webber achieved his first F1 win in the Red Bull at the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring Red Bull driver Mark Webber took pole position for the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring this weekend and, despite a hiccup at the start, managed to translate that in to a double – his first pole and first win in F1. Webber was quick off the line at the start, but got tangled up with Rubens Barrichello in the Brawn. That altercation cost Webber a 10 second drive-through penalty.

We had the reveal of the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake just over a week ago, the surprise appearance of a camouflaged prototype CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake at Goodwood and, finally, the real Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake appearing last week in an unannounced Mercedes video. And now we get the official details – and some photos – of the new CLS 63 AMG version of the Shooting Brake ahead of its likely public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.
Porsche 918 infotainment system to be based on HTML5
Wed, 07 Aug 2013While some automakers, like Ford and General Motors, are beginning to open up their code to outside developers via application programming interfaces, Porsche's taking a very interesting route for the 918 Spyder's infotainment system. The the hybrid supercar's dashboard interface uses the same code that the modern Internet runs on: HTML5. Germany's AutoBild reports that Porsche cites the ease of programming as part of their rationale for the system; smartphone integration is another.
