Peugeot 508 SW 'Allroad' We’re only just starting to see the Peugeot 508 – the replacement for both the 407 and 607 – hitting roads in Europe, but already we’re starting to see evidence that Peugeot aren’t going to be settling for just the Saloon and the Estate. Young drivers 'feel invulnerable'

MORE THAN seven in 10 young drivers think they are better than the average driver despite the age group being 2.5 times more likely to be involved in a serious crash, according to a survey by Vision Critical and road safety charity the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) The IAM says that the average of 71% reveals a perceived 'invulnerability' in young people that is not reflected in the real world. Britain’s most confident young drivers are in Northern Ireland where an astonishing 87% think they are better than average. The facts tell a different story, with young drivers making up 26% of those involved in crashes.

It’s almost certain the production ready MINI Paceman will debut at Paris in September now MINI has released a set of lightly camouflaged photos. The MINI Paceman – which started as the Paceman, became the Countryman Coupe and is now back to being the Paceman – looks set to debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. As is MINI’s wont, they’re starting to ramp up a bit of PR for the 2-door Countryman Coupe by letting loose a few photos and letting a handful of ‘safe’ car journalist loose on a quick test.
