Porsche hits out on CO2

By Phil McNamara Motoring Issues 22 June 2007 10:30 Porsche's next Cayenne and Panamera saloon will get petrol-electric hybrid engines, CAR Online can confirm, as the firm strives to reduce CO2 emissions. The sports car maker has gone on the attack, with tough new European Union guidelines on carbon emissions looming. Brussels has already announced it would like the average new car's emissions to total 130g/km of CO2 by 2012, and is now haggling with the industry about implementing the target.

The Skoda Rapid Spaceback (pictured) is a new Rapid Hatch You’d expect something called SpaceBack to be a more commodious version of a standard car. But in the case of the new Skoda Rapid Spaceback, it’s not. In fact, the SpaceBack is a more conventional hatchback version of the Rapid Saloon Skoda revealed last year which wasn’t actually a saloon at all but a ‘liftback’.

We have the first official photos of the 2014 Range Rover Sport ahead of its launch later today in a ‘drive-through’ reveal in New York. The 2014 Range Rover Sport is Land Rover’s love child of the new Range Rover and the Range Rover Evoque, and is due to debut later today in a drive through New York ahead of a showing at the 2013 New York Auto Show. But, despite Land Rover’s best efforts, the reveal of the new Range Rover Sport has not exactly gone to plan.
