Fri, 14 Jan 2011Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo When the press release came in for the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo, we were a bit surprised to learn that Skoda has been playing in Motorsport for 110 years. We knew they had a noble history before communism relegated them to skip-on-wheels status, but we’re ashamed to confess we knew nothing of their early Motorsport history. We knew of the profile Skoda had in the ’70s with success in rallying, which juxtaposed jarringly with the general perception of their cars.
Audi A6, A6 Avant & A7 Black Edition launched
Thu, 01 Nov 2012Audi has released Black Edition version of the A6 Saloon, A6 Avant and A7 with extra equipment and cosmetic tweaks. Audi has taken the S Line A6, A6 Avant and A7 and given them a ‘Black’ makeover for a special edition range that starts at £35k and carries on to almost £57k. Cosmetic and equipment additions over and above the regular S Line Spec include rotor-design alloys with a dark titanium finish (20″ on A6, 21″ on A7), black finish for the grill and window surrounds, privacy glass and black roof rails on the A6 Avant. Inside there’s Piano Black trim, black leather seats and black headlining.
Hyundai ix35 – UK details
Mon, 07 Sep 2009The Hyundai ix35 will launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show But now we have more Euro details from Hyundai on the ix35 which will officially launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week. The new ix35 is longer and wider than the outgoing Tucson but is actually 20mm lower, although headroom is unaffected. As we already know, the ix35 is a pretty close call for the ix-onic concept we saw at Geneva, and features Hyundai’s new hexagonal grill.
