THE VOLKSWAGEN GOLF has been crowned the Scottish Car of the Year, the first time VW has lifted the title north of the border. Awarded by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers, the Golf won the title thanks to its choice of body styles, frugal engines, quality and excellent driving manners. It beat off strong competition from the likes of the Range Rover Sport, Jaguar F-type and Renault Clio, which won their respective categories.

Aston Martin reveals Vantage N430 and Carbon editions before Geneva

Unfortunately neither of them is coming to the United States, but since they're Aston Martins, we figured you'd still want to be in the know. Prices for the new SRT Viper (it's not badged as a Dodge any more) have been announced in the US. Get ready to be green with envy towards Stateside petrolheads - the 2013 Viper has a US base price of 'just' $97,395. In English pounds sterling, a new Viper - plus its $1995 'destination charge' - comes in at £62k.
