Ferrari 458 Speciale: Frankfurt 2013

The Ferrari 458 Speciale (pictured) unveiled at Frankfurt Ferrari probably won the crown at the Geneva Motor Show in March with LaFerrari as ‘Star Car’, so whatever they brought to Frankfurt would be a bit of a let down. But at least they brought something new. The ‘something new’ is the hardcore version of Ferrari’s mid-engined supercar, the 458, and Ferrari obviously used the same naming committee for this car as they did for LaFerrari – it’s the Ferrari 458 Speciale.

Dacia Sandero (2012) priced from £5995

Buying advice doesn't come more pragmatic than this: if you want a brand new car for the least possible amount of money, then this is your next drive. It's the new Dacia Sandero, which has been officially priced at £5995. That's £2000 less than the cheapest Citroen C1, and £3800 less than a similarly-sized Ford Fiesta.  Exactly how much car do I get for a fiver under six grand?

McLaren 650S to make Geneva debut

McLaren Automotive The McLaren 650S will be the star of the British brand’s display at the 2014 Geneva motor show, it has been confirmed. At this stage McLaren has revealed little other than the name, and a close-up shot of the car’s badge. It says, however, that the 650S “takes learnings from both the 12C as well as the sell-out McLaren P1 and will be positioned between the two on McLaren Automotive’s supercar grid”.
