You are bidding on a Brand New Ram Small Block Chevy Billet Steel Stock-Type Clutch Flywheel (Part #RAM 1523).

This flywheel is for a 2 piece rear main seal (Pre-1986).

  • 168 tooth
  • For Small Block Chevy 400; has external balance weight to accommodate these motors
  • Will also work with a 383 Stroker motor
  • Has the bolt patterns to accept 10.5" and 11" diameter Borg & Beck and Diaphragm clutch
  • Strong Billet Steel construction
  • Weighs approximately 33 lbs.
  • The flywheel accepts one half of the load of the clutch system. To realize the potential of the clutch system, the flywheel must be flat, parallel to the crankshaft flange, properly surface ground for maximum friction compatibility with the clutch disc, and balanced. Dyno-testing proves that flywheel balance is critical to achieving maximum engine service. All RAM flywheels are manufactured from SFI certified materials in our South Carolina facility.
  • Cast flywheels are not explosion-proof and can be dangerous when used in high performance applications at higher RPM. RAM billet steel flywheels are recommended as replacements for factory-cast flywheels in high performance and racing vehicles. All billet flywheels are not created equal! Every RAM True Balance flywheel is turned, drilled, and tapped on RAM's own CNC equipment. Flywheels are then precision ground parallel to the crank flange and to the proper RMS finish for optimum mating of the friction disc. Finally the flywheel is digitally balanced to 1/2 ounce/inch of the proper factory specification.
  • This flywheel isn't compatible with stock type sprung hub clutch sets (5 or 6 springs).

We also have thousands of other High Performance Parts in our store.
