pleased to offer for your consideration an original reconditioned OEM engine
crankshaft for the MGB and MGB-GT 1798cc engine. This crankshaft was salvaged from
a 1971 MGB-GT with engine number 18GK-RWE-H10002. This crankshaft was recently serviced by a local reputable engine machine
shop. The crankshaft has been freshly ground and the journals were
micro-polished to std./std. specifications for both the rod and main
journals. The crankshaft has been
checked for cracks and run-out. No
problems were indicated by the machine shop.
Please look carefully at all the photos. The boxed shipping weight
of this crankshaft is approximately 45 pounds. You are
welcome to pick this up at our shop in Ann Arbor, Michigan, if you prefer to

Porsche Steps Up Vintage Motorsports Activities
Sat, 18 Aug 2012With the famed Monterey Motorsports Reunion as backdrop, Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA) announced Saturday it will expand from serving teams and owners of contemporary 911 race cars to providing a similar service to the large number of collectors of vintage Porsche race cars in the United States and Canada. PMNA has established a partnership with a new historic motorsports department that is now being established within Porsche AG's Motorsport Division in Weissach, Germany. The new department will provide expert restoration services to the Porsche Museum for many of the vintage competition cars the company owns well beyond the ones displayed in its riveting exhibition center.
Nissan’s new lightweight philosophy revealed
Wed, 28 Oct 2009The leaked official drawings of the new Nissan Micra might have revealed the conventional styling of the company’s new supermini, but they gave little clue to the dramatically lightweight new platform that underpins it. The new Micra will be significantly lighter and more fuel efficient than the outgoing car due to a ruthless pursuit of weight reduction on the new V-platform (V = versatile), which on average has slashed 50kg from the new car's weight, and up to 70kg on some models. Project leader Noritaka Tsuru described the new package as a 'breakthrough car' that required a complete 'change in mentality' in how Nissan makes cars.
Ford posts $2.4 billion profit
Tue, 26 Jul 2011Ford Motor Company reported a profit of $2.4 billion on revenues of $35.5 billion, excluding Volvo, during the second quarter, the automaker said Tuesday. A year ago, Ford posted net profits of $2.6 billion on revenue of $35.07 billion, including Volvo. Excluding Volvo, Ford's revenue in the second quarter of 2010 was $31.3 billion.
