This particularly rare offering was supposed to be included at standard equipment in all 5000-odd XJ-SC Cabriolet models produced from 1983-1988...
However, it is generally understood that as few as 1500 Cabriolets actually featured this CONVERTIBLE TOP STORAGE BAG even when new!
The storage bag was specifically designed to safely protect the whols convertible top assembly, when the top was not fitted to the car.
The OEM bag featured here is a genuine authentic jaguar part manufactured in original spec Black British Vinyl [see third photo illustrating the ICI vinyl backing] and snaps which securely close the bag when in use.
In really nice condition throughout, the only flaws are some staining on the underside of the closing top flap [see 4th photo] - not remotely apparent when the bag is closed, and some slight fading on the exterior vinyl - quite superb for nearly 30 years old!

Derbyshire Constabulary and West Midlands Police are promoting the rewards to help catch drivers who are over the alcohol limit or under the influence of drugs. Running until New Year's Day, the scheme will see posters placed in pubs and clubs urging drinkers to report those flouting the law to the Crimestoppers hotline.
