Proton Gen-2 facelift (2008): first photosThu, 10 Jul 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 10 July 2008 06:49 Proton has published the first details of its revised Gen-2 small car. It's not the most radical of facelifts, but the Gen-2 gains new exterior detailing including front and rear skirts, a new rear spoiler, redesigned alloy wheels, bumper and grille, plus distinctive, smoke-blacked headlamps. Inside, Proton spotters will recognise fresh red trim splattered around the cabin, a redesigned dashboard and handbrake (thank goodness – the last one pinched your fingers on occasion). 2012 Lexus IS-F gets chassis changesSat, 13 Aug 20112012 Lexus IS-F gets a more comfortable suspension Every family has a black sheep, and the Lexus IS-F is the black sheep for Toyota’s posh brand. Unlike the LFA – which pretends to be nothing other than a supercar – the IS-F does a very good impression of a posh rep-mobile. Until you mash the throttle, that is, and the IS-F unleashes power you’d never expect any mainstream Lexus to offer. Kia's Forte Super Bowl ad features violent android ladyFri, 01 Feb 2013There's no Jimmy Cliff or Flaming Lips in Kia's Super Bowl ad for the new Forte, but we can't help thinking they're the second company this week to miss out on co-opting seminal New Jersey punk outfit the Misfits' “We Are 138.” While attaching the song to the unveiling of Ferrari's new F138 was a no-brainer from a numerically synergistic standpoint, the track's poppy brutality and ominous query, “Is it time to be an android, not a man?” dovetails perfectly with the rise-of-the-sexy-machines theme of the Kia clip. Clearly, the android in this spot -- portrayed by former Miss USA Alyssa Campanella -- has the upper hand over the poor schnook oiling up the new Forte with his greasy mitts. We can't help thinking the whole ad would've been better if the Misfits' original pint-size vocal dynamo Glenn Danzig had been involved somehow. 2040Parts.com © 2012-2024. All Rights Reserved.
