***THE FORK SPRING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE.***

Up for sale is the right front fork leg off of a 1994 Honda XR250L. Note, these forks are different than the forks for the XR250R. There are some scratches and wear marks on the part. The seal is leaking and the fork needs to be rebuilt. One of the studs for the front axle holder is missing and not included in the sale (the threads in the aluminum fork slider are fine; it just needs the stud and nut). Because of this, I'm listing it as "for parts or not working". The spring is not included in the sale. I've drained the fork oil out of the part. I see no stripped threads. The chrome is in good shape and is not pitted or rusted. The parts slide in and out smoothly and do not bind. I'll give the buyer a 14 day inspection period from when you receive the package. If you're not satisfied, you can return the part(s).

If you'd like to buy more than one part, just let me know and I can give you a combined shipping quote. The quoted shipping price is only good for the lower 48 states. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii and would like to purchase the part, please contact me for a shipping quote.

The parts included in the picture(s) are the only ones included in this sale.

I do ship overseas; if you'd like a shipping quote to a foreign country please let me know.

Thanks for looking! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Driven: a week with a Chevrolet Volt

Mon, 22 Aug 2011

In Fall 2010, before the Volt went on sale in North America, we sampled an early build model and came away so impressed, we declared it the car for the digital age. Since then the car has received harsh criticism from the press and been outsold by the Nissan Leaf in the North American market. Given the unique powertrain, we felt longer exposure to the Volt was therefore in order, so on a recent trip to Michigan, we lived with one for five days.

BMW resurrects the C1

The roofed scooter, which originally went on sale across Europe with a gasoline engine in 2000, was once touted by BMW as the future of urban mobility.

New SEAT Ibiza Cupra: Beijing 2012

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

2012 SEAT Ibiza Cupra The new 2012 SEAT Ibiza Cupra – called a concept but heading for showrooms – debuts at the Beijing Motor Show. SEAT are calling the Ibiza Cupra they’ve debuted at the Beijing Motor Show a Concept, but it’s not really a concept or a new Ibiza Cupra – it’s just the Ibiza Cupra with the updates the rest of the Ibiza has had for 2012. That means a bit of a nose job with glitzy new headlights with LEDs, new grill and big air vents, a revised bumper at the back with tweaks to the lights and some new alloys.
