This lightweight Fire Retardant material is the future for racing apparel. Unlike Nomex, It allows the material to breath so you stay cool and comfortable. When exposed to a high heat source, it's molecular structure constricts so it blocks out the heat and air keeping you protected from the heat and fire so you can go home to your loved ones and race another day. The SFI 3-2A/5 Mutli layered, boxed quilted item is manufactured by RJS Racing Equipment out of The Motor City since 1959. One of the last American companies still offering American made products to the world. This item is NOT an overseas cheap manufactured item with a bootlegged SFI tag.
