Rotax 670 Aircraft Style Block Engine on 2040-parts.com
Cadillac, Michigan, United States
Here is a Rotax 670, there is only 2 years of these blocks that are ideal for aircraft conversion. This setup has a substantial amount of precision modification that most machinist would have a difficult time knowing where to start. The front end of the engine case has been machined, and bolt holes have been drilled and tapped to 8 mm. As you can see in one picture, the C-box fits the engine case perfectly. Modifying the fly wheel and shortening the crank is a very difficult task. This is all done for you. I bought several of these limited edition blocks when they were widely available, waiting for the day when they weren't. That day is here. Examine the cylinders, as they have a fresh .010 over bore, with brand new OEM (Elco) pistons and rings. I am not quite sure why the engine is dirty, but it should be torn down and inspected anyways. From what I can tell the crank is in excellent condition. Of course after I have torn it down to check out inside, new gaskets and seals are in order. The exhaust ports are clean as if the engine had not been run after the top end overhaul. This turned out to be a very lucky purchase for me. Electronics and flywheel area are complete, and comes with CDI box. If you look at the big picture, and all the precision and difficult work that has already been done for you, this is a great deal at $1250.00. Plus $100.00 shipping and handling. Any questions call Joe after 2pm. 231-775-5251. More engines available.
