Synerlec additive technology makes Royal Purple unique—and it’s a big reason why Royal Purple products perform like no other lubricants on the market. This man-made additive improves our products on a molecular level, by creating high-strength ionic bonds with metallic surfaces that allow our engine oils and other lubricants to react to sustained heat and pressure, not by breaking down like regular oil, but with increased film strength and lubricity.

With extended use, Royal Purple synthetic lubricants with Synerlec improve the surface condition of metallic surfaces by smoothing inherent surface roughness, actually reducing friction and improving lubrication of internal moving parts. That’s why we put it in every Royal Purple lubricant we can, from our performance upgrade synthetic motor oils and gear oils to gun oil and any other types of Royal Purple synthetic lubricants. So if you’re looking for high performance synthetic oil, look no further than Royal Purple synthetic lubricants with Synerlec.

Tony Williams-Kenny announced as Design Director, SAIC Motor

Wed, 19 Jan 2011

Tony Williams-Kenny has been announced as the new global Design Director of Chinese automaker, SAIC Motor.  During his previous role as Design Director for SAIC Motor, UK, Williams-Kenny worked on various Roewe products, as well as being responsible for designing a new generation of MG models including the MG3, MG6 and MG Zero – the first concept car from the brand since 1985. When interviewed by CDN last year, we asked him how important design is in the company: "For me it's obvious SAIC gets the need for design and the need for a strong brand design relationship," he answered. "We have a really good review group at senior management level too, who actually want to be involved in design reviews and the decision making process." After gaining an MA in Automotive Design and a BA (Hons) in Transport Design from Coventry University in the UK in 1998, Kenny joined Mitsubishi Europe Design in Trebur, Germany as a designer.

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Metrocab Range Extender London Taxi We’ve had lots of new competition for the traditional London Black Cab cropping up recently, with the Nissan NV200 Taxi and the Mercedes Vito Taxi heading the assault on the traditional black taxi market. Now we’re getting the Metrocab Range Extender Electric from Frazer Nash throwing its hat in to the ring as a contender for the market, and it does look to be a real contender. Looking familiar with styling that looks like a properly updated take on the traditional TX4 Black Cab, the Metrocab has been developed by Frazer Nash and Ecotive to be fully compliant with all the requirements of the London Public Carriage Office and offers a much more appealing option for cabbies and fares alike.
