Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake Fake +video
Thu, 13 Aug 2009The fake Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake - rendered in Maya Turns out that it was all a bit of viral fun created by Jared Holstein, the outgoing editor of TopGear.com. He came up with the idea and got a bunch of Summer Interns in the States to do the donkey work. A digital design student called Matt DuVall used Maya (a digital 3D rendering programme) to create the original image (actually, I’ve been trying to master Maya for ever – must get some tips from Matt!) which incorporated lots of Porsche design themes, and even used a Porsche ‘Mule’ license plate.
Peugeot 2008: Official
Mon, 07 Jan 2013The crossover / SUV version of the new Peugeot 208 – the Peugeot 2008 – has been revealed officially by Peugeot ahead of a Geneva 2013 debut. But the first official details from Peugeot of the production version of the 2008 tell us nothing more than we reported on Saturday when we got the first photos. Peugeot are long on how they’ve drawn on the 3008 Crossover (a better car than you’d expect) to create a B Segment Crossover that will take the fight to everything from the Countryman to the Juke, but very short on any real detail.
Breckland Beira: the first pictures
Tue, 03 Jun 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 03 June 2008 17:18 Missing Marcos and wondering just what exactly has happened to TVR? Well your sportscar wishes have been answered in the shape of a new British-built two-seater called the Breckland Beira. Power (of course) comes from a 6.0-litre GM-sourced V8, but the chassis isn’t some hastily cobbled together tubular steel job.
