No worries....your SA2005 helmet is good for another 5 years at the racing venues. The SA2010 are now good for 10 years. (Hey, who would want a smelly, 10 year old helmet ??) In other words, it is the most stringent new Snell rating to ensure your noggin is protected when taking the corners. But that’s just the start. Porsche has now confirmed that, before the end of 2014, the Macan will get some more affordable engine options with both petrol and diesel 4-cylinder engines finding their way under the Macan’s Cayenne-esque bonnet.

We spoke to one such customer over the weekend who was busy deciding which boxes to tick on the P1 spec sheet, and he was under the impression that McLaren were offering a full bare carbon fibre option for the P1, and at no cost. Which didn’t sound right.
