Honda Vezel urban SUV crossover stars at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013

Honda has unveiled its take on the burgeoning compact crossover sector at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, and it’s called the Vezel. You can do your own jokes, but rest assured it won’t be called that once it reaches the UK sometime in 2015. It’s based on the same platform as the all-new Honda Fit, the car we know as the Jazz, and will go on sale in Japan this December.

The Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept car will debut groundbreaking ‘virtual bonnet’ technology that uses augmented reality to make the front of the car invisible. The new tech is part of a range of technology features to be revealed on the firm’s New York Motor Show star car next week (16 April). Fiesta is 2013's best seller

THE FORD FIESTA has topped the new car sales chart for 2013 with 113,417 sold. It was closely followed by another Ford, this time the Focus that recorded 81,791 new owners during the 12 months of 2013. Third place on the podium was taken by the Fiesta’s arch rival, the Vauxhall Corsa that racked up 77,861 sales during its final full year before it’s replaced with a new Corsa in 2014.
