Renault Nepta concept (2006): first official pictures
Thu, 07 Sep 2006By Phil McNamara First Official Pictures 07 September 2006 04:30 The lowdown Renault's renewed assault on the premium car sector begins today, with this luxurious Nepta showcar. It's a vast, opulent convertible, designed to waft you across continents as if the golden age of motoring hadn't been superseded by the budget airline revolution. The Nepta is Renault's attention-seeking concept for this month's Paris motor show.
Mazda Verisa
Thu, 17 Aug 2006Mazda has refreshed the Verisa, a B-segment car sold in Japan. Based on the same platform as the Ford Fiesta, the Verisa is a tall hatchback that parallels the (European) Ford Fusion in concept, if not aesthetics. The Down-Road-Graphic has a clean contemporary look, with minimal grille area and restrained use of brightwork, while surfaces are given greater volume and a more substantial feeling than the Fusion.
Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 roundup & HUGE photo gallery
Mon, 04 Jul 2011Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 with the E-Type sculpture outside the house It’s really quite hard to convey just how enjoyable the Goodwood Festival of Speed is to those who’ve never been. John waxed lyrical over the weekend (someone has to do the weekend news) saying that the Goodwood FoS is “Disneyland for petrolheads, with the world’s greatest cars and greatest drivers wallowing in three days of high-octane worship at the alter of the internal combustion engine” And he’s absolutely right, but there’s more to it than that. It it works because, despite the fame and ability of many of those who turn up to Goodwood every year, from Button to Moss and Evans to Martin, there is little in the way of them and us; it’s 180,000 diverse people drawn together by a common love of all things car.
