THIS PAIR HAS BEEN DISCOUNTED BECAUSE THE POLISH JOB HAS SOME MINOR FLAWS AS SHOWN, but as you can see, they still look pretty good, and are 100% functional. These could be polished up, sanded and painted, or run as-is, all while saving you money. THE PICTURES SHOWN ARE THE EXACT PAIR YOU WILL BE GETTING.

Your looking at a pair of Aussie Speed raw cast aluminum "pro-street/street rod" style valve covers(these are smooth on top, giving more of a modern look than the finned hot rod covers we also offer); to suit Chevrolet 4.3L & 262 pre vortec 90 degree center bolt tappet covers. These fit Vortec v-6 Chevy engines as well as early v6 engines with center bolt valve covers.

These covers are 70mm inside from the gasket face to the top of the inside and are a must when installing roller rockers as they are taller than the cheap looking stock plastic or pressed tin factory valve covers, and are a must to give your "Mini-SBC" that hot rod look! The covers have reinforced center bosses, molded inner & out gasket retaining flanges & shrouded breathers for oil cap & pcv valve. They accept push-in breather caps.
These covers use the 1986 to 1992 thick rubber factory or after market rubber gaskets.

These covers do require longer retaining bolts that can also be purchased from me for $25 a set(Allen head bolts, washers and lock washers), or call me at BEFORE BUYING THE VALVE COVERS at 972-989-4003, and I can get you set up with the hardware kit for no extra cost....

Make sure and check out my other listings for the full Aussie Speed line, and contact me if you don't see an Aussie Speed part your interested in listed. If your interested in a few parts contact me, and Ill make you a package deal to save you a bit of money. Also check out my "SmallTownSpeed" shirts, because I can add one to any order with zero additional shipping costs.

NOTE: USPS PARCEL SELECT GROUND SHIPPING ON THIS IS FREE to you, BUT I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SHIP with FedEx or USPS Priority mail too

I'm a full time Firefighter/paramedic, and an avid motorcycle rider. I part out bikes to help offset what I spend building, riding, and racing them. With that said, I'm not a big shop, and this is not my only job. I will do everything in my power to ship parts out ASAP, and 95% of the time I get them out within 1 business day of when they are paid for, but because of my work schedule(where I work 24hr shifts, and sometimes work 48 and 72hr shifts), and my riding, there may be rare occasions that it may take longer than 24hrs before I get it shipped out. If you are in a rush to get the part, please contact me, and I will do everything I can get it out fast(and if you contact me, I can make special arrangements, and 99% of the time can get it sent out the same day). But if you are somebody who expects everything to be shipped instantly "come hell or high water", please find another seller who will better fit your needs, because I may very well be busy dealing with hell or high water, or just unwinding and riding my motorcycles. And the latter should be easy enough to relate to, right? I ALSO SELL PARTS ON FORUMS and LOCALLY, so I reserve the right to END AUCTIONS EARLY. I'm happy to combine shipping when practical, and I'm also happy to make package deals if there are several parts you need. Email is the best way to contact me, but I'm happy to give you a call, or give you my personal cell number if you would rather call me. FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK: SMALLTOWNSPEED

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, ALL OF THE PARTS I'M SELLING ARE USED. I guarantee them to fit the bike I took them off of; and any other years on models mentioned are to help people find parts that may work for them, not a guarantee of fitment. I pride myself in good customer service, accurate descriptions, and low prices. There is no feasible way for me to list or confirm every possible fitment while keeping my prices low. If you're not sure, check with your local dealer, or compare part numbers at an online oem supplier like motosport. BUT I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT EVERY PART I SELL IS SOLD EXACTLY AS PICTURED AND AS-IS. It is also possible that over the life of the bike that I'm parting out, that parts were changed to something other than what was put on at the assembly line. So, where am I going with all of this? I wont stick anybody with parts they don't want or can't use. I accept returns, and my great feedback speaks for itself; seriously, read through some of it.... I treat other riders(that's you) how I would want to be treated; but I ask that you do the same for me in two ways. 1- having realistic expectations when your buying used parts. 2- if something is not right; let me know and give me a chance to make it right for you before opening a dispute or leaving feedback. I've never had anybody who has contacted me with an issue not end up completely satisfied. I aim for 5 star service 100% of the time. If I'm not achieving that, please let me know how I can improve.

Thanks!

Porsche 918 infotainment system to be based on HTML5

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

While some automakers, like Ford and General Motors, are beginning to open up their code to outside developers via application programming interfaces, Porsche's taking a very interesting route for the 918 Spyder's infotainment system. The the hybrid supercar's dashboard interface uses the same code that the modern Internet runs on: HTML5. Germany's AutoBild reports that Porsche cites the ease of programming as part of their rationale for the system; smartphone integration is another.
