Hello there beautiful people, how are you:)?
So heres what we got here for you this time: This is a Series 3 Eaton M90 Supercharger off of a L67 GM 3.8 engine that is being used in many GM based build models, most commonly seen in Grand Prix GTPs and Buick Regal GSs.
So heres the story with it:
my husband had a chance to get a hands on this one brought it home and decided to refresh it. Yes notice im not going with the flow and saying stuff like Rebuild and remanufactured. So what did he do? well he first inspected it upon removing it from the engine he pulled it off of. The snouts seal did not seam to be in a bad shape at all because the nose was not dirty in shiny oil as you expect one to be from a leaking seal. Then he tore this SC completely apart (we can only post 12 or so pics so i choose the best once to tell the story). He then washed it in his parts sink w/whatever solution he had to do so, then he taped and plugged every whole in its casting and bead blasted its casing. After that, he went on and ported it. Now: he have done this same M90 couple of times so this wasnt his first one, more like 4th. So the SC got ported into its Triangular opening shape, the Arrow shape was widened and turned into triangular to let more air flow, more air to be compressed for it in terms to produce more power. After that he slightly ported the throttle opening by removing its rough casting that was and were to create air turbulence. Its throttle opening became about 1or 2mm bigger as the result. He then smoothen its walls as much as he can. No we cant call it perfect polish but its much much much better then stock surface that would scratch hands and rip of your work gloves. By smoothing it and making the throttle opening bigger he have removed all of the casting drops and such. After that this supercharger was given new coupler but before it was assembled back in, it was extensively cleaned inside out and blown w/air to let all the dirt out. Then he checked the bearings and because every bearing on it is in good condition (the engine had 1105.. miles) he left them untouched but cleaned up course. The bearings that rotate w/Root style impellers were regressed/packed w/grease but not exesivelly for it not to spill out and checked to make sure that didnt happened. After that The coupler, and impeller were assembled back into it. Impeller does have coating wear but its not bad at all, infact he said it was the best out of 4 he have seen. The snout and impeller walls were coated w/thin anaerobic gasket and to seal shut all as bolted to a factory specifications. So that said, what you getting is: Supercharger that was taken appart cleaned, expected, then Ported at its air inlet and throttle opening, then somewhat polished its throttle opening, regressed, given new coupler and assembled back together. Call it rebuild, remanufactured or whatever you want, but it have seen love because he have spend quiet some time on it.
Now, the supercharger comes w/original 3.8" pulley and it was not painted. He did that because he wanted to leave the choice of color to you. However you will have to wipe it down very good w/acetone or such before painting as it is somewhat slightly dirty from hands working on it (meaning not as it was right after the bead blast). You will also need to fill its snout w/Supercharger Oil as he did not had any to do so for u. The plug is not bolted tight for you to do that, so make sure you dont forget to do that before you run it!!!! :) Also you will need to install a PCV valve as it does not have one in it right now. What it does have however is everything else that one comes bolted to the car with. By that i mean all of its vacuum threes and as a bonus tested and fully functional Supercharger Blow Of Valve. All of its surfaces have been cleaned and it is in ready to be bolted up condition, just once again dont forget the PCV valve and Supercharger Oil.
if you have any questions just ask.
NOW about the SHipping: I have been quoted in passed to ship such thing at close to 200$, i dont know how others do ship them for 30 or so, maybe they have some special discounts, we dont. So i would really really really just want to do a LOCAL PICK UP, unless you are willing to pay the shipping or maybe find your own way of picking it up. We are in Ypsilanti MI and if you live somewhat far - we might meet you atleast 30-1hr away from a house if it all happens at the good time for us, when we are free, otherwise you are welcome to come pick it up yourself.
When you do pick this up, you are to look over at it on the spot to make sure this is what you want, and to exchange feedback in which you mention that you checked it over, verify that its as advertised and picked up yourself. this is for our protection and have nothing to do w/you :)
thank you

Jaguar XF: 2.2 Diesel XF embarks on U.S. road trip

Jaguar XF: 2.2 Diesel - off to show the US how frugal it is We did wonder why Jaguar chose to launch the new XF 2.2 Diesel at the New York Motor Show in the Spring. After all, Americans aren’t exactly the biggest lovers of oil-burning engines. But it looks like Jaguar are planning to change their minds about the virtues of running a diesel-engined luxury car.

Renault Scenic unveiled at Geneva motor show 2009

Tue, 03 Mar 2009

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 03 March 2009 11:00 Practicality is the name of the game here. The Scenic led the charge into compact MPVs back when the genre was in its infancy – and you can tell how long ago that was by the fact that Renault today launched the third-generation Scenic and Grand Scenic duo. No prizes for guessing they’re closely related to the Megane hatchback family, so much of the hardware is shared.

Telematics box aids attempted murderer conviction

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

A ‘BLACK BOX’ telematics device fitted to a hire car has played a significant role in the conviction of an attempted murderer. The device had been previously installed into a car hired by Daniel Paita, 32; a car he was driving on the day he carried out an attack on a man in Glasgow. Paita had claimed he was nowhere near the area, but anti-motoring fraud experts at Asset Protection Unit Ltd (APU) were able to ascertain the car’s true whereabouts via a tracking device within the telematics unit.
