BMW i3 caught testing in New York
Tue, 28 May 2013BMW has been hyping its futuristic i lineup for years now, but the long lead time doesn't mean that the highly efficient, carbon-fiber-based vehicles are vaporware. Earlier this month, we test drove pre-production versions of the i3 and i8, and last week, Autoweek reader Frank Cogliano spied the former vehicle on the road. Driven: Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Wed, 11 Jun 2008Just over 25 years ago, in November 1982, Mercedes Chief Designer Bruno Sacco introduced his new 'baby' 190, codenamed W201. This model – the first with the triangular tail lamps – lasted until 2000 when it was replaced by the W203, a more softly-styled update of the W202 model, with the 'peanut-shaped' linked double headlamps.
Ford Figo Saloon Concept is the new KA Concept with a boot
Mon, 03 Feb 2014The Ford Figo Saloon Concept (pictured) debuts in India The Ford Figo is a last generation Ford Fiesta built for emerging markets in India, but this new Ford Figo Concept appears to be a next generation Ford KA with a boot. Looking just like the new Ford KA Concept from Brazil – which got a European outing in Barcelona in December - the Figo Concept is a next-generation Ford KA with a an extra bit on the back and aimed at emerging markets. That ‘emerging markets’ aim seems clear when one of the major selling points, according to Ford, is the flexible architecture of the power door mirrors that makes it far less likely the mirror will be ripped off when hit by a passing car.
