In addition to the rust-preventative coating, the sockets are laser engraved every 120 degrees with extra-large markings for quick-and-easy identification. All the SK impact sockets feature the SK's SureGrip hex design, which drives the side of the hex, rather than the corner to increase strength and avoid the rounding of rusted or damaged fasteners. For added safety, their smooth collar design protects your hand by preventing the pin from coming loose while working. The extra recess depth and a 30-degree flex angle allow improved access. Thu, 04 Dec 2008The Science Museum in London, UK is hosting the Japan Car: Designs for the Crowed Globe exhibition, sponsored by seven Japanese automobile manufacturers. An exploration of the car as a 'mobile cell', the exhibition has been conceived by graphic designer Kenya Hara and architect Shigeru Ban to show how Japanese design reflects the 'soil and spirit' of Japan, depicted by concept cars and models specific to the Japanese market. Speaking to Car Design News, Shigeru Ban explained how the automobile was chosen as the central element to the exhibition because it is a reflection of Japanese culture and tradition.
