Well, there is perhaps the question of ‘Why test a saloon car at the Nurburgring at all?’, but that’s another argument. But after the Lexus LF-Gh got teased ahead of, and then revealed at, the New York Motor Show in the Spring, it was clear Lexus were planning to revamp the GS.

First up is the ‘Nocturne’, which is limited to a five-unit production run in the Middle East. It boasts contrasting black and polished aluminium body panels, as well as galvanised side windows and custom rims, while inside are a galvanised platinum centre console and a black magnesium dashboard.

He'll be driving a BMW Vision EfficientDynamics electric supercar, a concept vehicle that the company claims will evolve into the BMW i8 before it hits series production in a few years' time.
