No one was guarding the door so we just opened it up and walked right in like we owned the place. Kablam – what a sight: there were hundreds of classic bikes lined up in rows and grouped together, more or less.

The H3, expected to arrive with a £27,000 price tag, will be pitched directly at the Nissan Pathfinder, and will come as a high-specification one-model line-up. China is now Bentley’s second biggest market. It doesn’t seem five minutes since Bentley were getting their highly skilled workforce to make furniture to keep them busy, so slow were sales as the recession started to bite.
