Tue, 12 May 2009VW Scirocco R20T snapped ahead of the reveal on 21st May I suppose we should consider this a ‘Tease’ from VW, because the photo we have here appears to be a track-prepared version of the new hot Scirocco, but it’s not. It is actually a full production model with a stack of track logos splatted on it. Our snapper says it was a fully trimmed car with a full road car interior.

While many other carmakers – and Google – have been experimenting with this kind of autonomous driving technology, the ‘Drive Me – Self-driving cars for sustainable mobility’ project is set to see driverless cars mix with real traffic on real roads. Only two drivers have ever managed four titles on the trot before him: Juan Manuel Fangio (1953-58) and Michael Schumacher (with five in a row between 2000-2005). Frenchman Alain Prost is the only other driver to have taken four F1 world titles – but no-one’s managed the feat as fast as Seb.
