Great Wall Motors will show the Haval Coupe concept at the upcoming Beijing motor show, an event that looks set to be dominated by this SUV crossover segment.Very few details and only these images of the car in a dark studio so it's impossible to comment on the work of recently-appointed GWM design director Pierre Leclercq, designer of the BMW X6. However what we can see are its trio of vertical lamp graphics front and rear, as the brand attempts to define its brand identity, as well as a tapered roofline, as befits its 'coupe' tag.More details to follow from Beijing. The Goodwood Festival of Speed began 19 years ago. Back then, it amounted to little more than a glorified hill climb for historic racecars. Since then, it has grown to become the biggest event in the UK automotive calendar outside of the Grand Prix, and takes over Lord March's West Sussex Estate annually on the first weekend of July.

The Ruiqi G2 – an A-segment model from Chery's new sub-brand – will enter the Chinese market in July, competing with the BAIC E Series and Great Wall Tengyi C20. Designed by Pininfarina, the Ruiqi G2's most distinctive feature is a wave-shaped feature line that wraps up from the rocker, creates an exaggerated rear fender and wraps around the rear to for the rear bumper, the intention of which is to "convey a sense of agility and movement." Chrome highlights on the front grille and tailgate attempt to add a premium touch to the G2 as is the winged, Bentley-inspired badge. The interior architecture is entirely conventional with silver and black trim, while the integrated center panel features a hexagonal HVAC control unit.
