Aspid GT-21 Invictus revealed – sort of
Tue, 17 Jul 2012Aspid – the Spanish supercar maker which was IFR Aspid – has revealed the first images, and video, of the new Aspid GT-21 Invictus. IFR Aspid made the Caterham-esque – and rather bonkers – Aspid SuperSport, but after a change of name to just ‘Aspid’ they teased a new car back in May, which looked to be more mainstream. Eterniti Hemera

The Hemera is essentially a heavily re-worked Porsche Cayenne, which features a ‘limousine-like rear cabin' that boasts a plethora of luxury additions such as Maybach-esque twin electric reclining seats, an iPad for each passenger and a drinks chiller. The carbon-composite bodied SUV will be hand-built in London and aims to deliver ‘considerable' driver appeal in addition to its limousine moniker which, according to Eterniti, offer customers the option of being chauffeured as well as being driven.

Given that the trucks are the first new GM full-size pickups in years, and since CEO Dan Akerson called it the “biggest launch in probably decades,” clearly it's a big deal for them too.
