SPI Full Metal Brake Pad for Polaris Storm ‘93-97

SPI continues to offer the best in aftermarket performance brake pads. When looking for brake pads, a big thing to remember is the coefficient of friction rating for that pad. This is a 2 letter rating system. The first letter is the cold temp coefficient rating and the second letter is the hot temp coefficient. The higher the letters, the higher the coefficient of friction.
SPI Semi-Metallic brake pads and shoes are composed of a Non-Asbestos, Semi-Metallic Carbon Kevlar aramid fiber from DuPont and have a DOT rating of “FF”.
Our Full-Metal pads contain Copper, Carbon, Tin, Lead and other metallic elements and have a DOT rating of “FG”.

Toyota Prius plug-in to cost from £31k

Wed, 21 Sep 2011

Toyota Prius plug-in will cost £31k We thought it was probably too good to be true. Because if Toyota were to do the same in the UK, the plug-in Prius would have come in – after the taxpayer very generously chipped in a £5k subsidy for ‘eco’ cars – at a ‘buy’ price in the UK around £2.5k more than the non plug-in Prius.

Volvo celebrates the seatbelt’s golden anniversary

Wed, 12 Aug 2009

By Freddie Fulton Motor Industry 12 August 2009 10:11 Today marks the 50th anniversary of the three-point seatbelt. It was patented by Volvo engineer Nils Bohlin in 1959, but the Swedes magnanimously opened up the tech to other car makers as they saw the real-world safety benefit of seatbelts in all cars. The design was so effective that in Germany the patent registrars listed it in the top eight inventions which have made an impact from 1885 to 1985.
