Spot Satellite Messenger/Tracker. This was my personal messenger for years, and I can say with certainty that it works just fine. The batteries are still good, though I don't know how long they will last, so you might want to throw a new set of batteries in your pack just in case (it is a lifesaving device after all). This thing is great for letting loved ones know you are OK while in the back country, or for calling for help in case of emergency while you are out of cell phone reception. Just know that all Spot devices require an annual subscription. Selling because I bought a more expensive satellite messenger and don't need two.
