Mercedes E-class (2015) gets new nine-speed transmission

Daimler today confirmed the revised E-class will get the company’s nine-speed automatic transmission on the E350 Bluetec diesel. The Mercedes 9G-Tronic gearbox has an epically long top gear, all the better to reduce fuel consumption and emissions for E-class owners.

Mon, 30 Jan 2012The Jaguar XF Sportbrake will debut at Geneva 2012 The Jaguar XF Sportbrake – the long awaited Jaguar XF Estate – will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Jaguar XF Sportbrake (XF Estate) has been a long time coming, but Jaguar finally gave official confirmation the XF Sportbrake was on the way back in November. Since that official confirmation of the Sportbrake we’ve had a couple of teases from Jaguar, first with a photo of Santa loading gifts in to the boot of the Sportbrake – complete with @sportbrake camouflage – and a subsequent tease with an image of the Sportbrake festooned with stuff it will accommodate pasted across the back.
From 'Made in China' to 'Designed in China'
Thu, 27 May 2010Visitors to the recent Auto China in Beijing may have noticed an impressive new Chinese sports car – called Aculeus – on one of the smaller exhibitor stands. The concept car is the latest project undertaken by CH-Auto Technology Corporation – one of a growing number of automotive R&D service companies based in China that provides support to the OEMs. The company was established in August 2003 by Lu Qun, an engineer who originally trained at Tsinghua University and later specialized in engine development testing.
