New vehicle labels to compare fuel economy, emissions with U.S. average

Window sticker labels will show how new vehicles' fuel economy and emissions levels compare with the U.S. fleet average starting in the 2013 model year, the Obama administration said Wednesday. The new federal rules carry out a 2007 law that requires labels to put new vehicles in fleetwide context for fuel economy, greenhouse gases and smog-forming pollutants.

We had had a chat with them as things had been very quiet, and we did say to them we wondered if Christian had lost focus on Koenigsegg and been side-tracked with the whole Saab-Saga. We had previously reported the RS5 would use a twin-turbo iteration of this engine, but a senior source has told us it will not feature forced induction. We’re told it’s the same high-revving engine that powered the outgoing RS4, albeit spruced up with the latest Ingolstadt know-how.
