Mercedes SLS AMG E-Cell (2010): the electric SLS
Mon, 05 Jul 2010Following the unveiling of Tesla's updated Roadster 2.5, Mercedes is showing off its iteration of an all-electric sports car: the SLS AMG E-Cell. While the regular SLS pumps out 563bhp and 479lb ft from its 6.2-litre V8, the SLS E-Cell has four synchronous electric motors, powering all four wheels for a combined output of 392kW (equivalent to 526bhp) and a mammoth 649lb ft of torque. Crucially, all of that power is accessible from zero revs, allowing the E-Cell to sprint to 62mph in four seconds dead.
Nissan’s Juke-R vs Supercars irritating video trailers
Tue, 01 May 2012Nissan's Juke-R vs Supercars Nissan are trailing a video of the Juke-R racing supercars in Dubai with a frustrating string of very short video trailers. But the real deal on the day was a professional video shoot by Nissan to allow a bit more Juke-R fairy dust to be sprinkled round the Interwebs with a slick and polished race story video, with Gran Turismo gamer Lucus Ordonez pitting the Nissan Juke-R against Salah Salahuddin’s supercar collection - which they’ve finally got round to editing.

Having parked a C-MAX Energi and new F-150 in the venue, Ford's influence weighed rather heavily, particularly in the early moments.
