Stepped Star Hub for '36 to '66 Harley Flathead, Knucklehead

Here is a new in the box reproduction star hub for Harleys. The "star" hub was used 1936 to 1966. This one is the first variation and was referred to as the "stepped" hub because of the re-inforcement found on the inboard side of the drive/brake side flange. This stepped variation was found on front and rear on 1935 to 1939 Big Twin Flathead VL and UL, 1936-1939 Knucklehead EL and rear on 1935 to 1939 45" WL. This black replica is complete with all internals: roller bearings, cages, sleeve star gaskets etc. It also has a parkerized star (thrust) cover, a counter bore around the grease fitting hole and a "seam" in the centerpiece. This is a nice replica with good bearing fit and end play.

Note: Exploded view is for reference only. You will receive one factory assembled unit.

Shipping will be by USPS. If this is inconvenient, notify us before payment. Please keep in mind that a surcharge may apply with alternative methods. If express shipping is desired, please contact us. Surcharges will apply. Fixed global shipping charges are generally based on actual USPS charges for airmail plus insurance. A handling fee is included to cover export preparation and document fees, currency conversion fees, postal procedures, etc. This fee is usually $5-$7 per package. If this is a problem for you, there is a simple solution: Buy more than one item at a time! Usually many compatible items will fit in the same package. Adaptive steering for big Fords arrives on new Edge

Fri, 30 May 2014

By Tim Pollard Motoring Issues 30 May 2014 17:43 Ford today announced all its future large cars will have adaptive steering as standard - letting reps flick their wrists on the way in to the Welcome Break on the M4, yet tip their fingers when changing lanes on the London orbital. It's a further sign that what was once the high-tech preserve of the German brands is now firmly in the mainstream. BMW was one of the brands which pioneered variable-ratio power steering; in essence, it changes the ratio between the driver's inputs at the wheel and the rate at which turns are made at the rack.
