Stilko finned vintage oil filter. These filters use toilet paper for the inner filtering cartridge. Never buy a filter again, just a roll of toilet paper.  All of the original packing material, including the Stilko decal/sticker, is included, even a new roll of paper.  This filter fits most domestic car engines. It also fits many imports too. Hopefully you can read the application sheets in the photos.  Check for fitment or e-mail before purchasing. I used this filter for several years on a Mopar slant six and on a 383” many years ago. The filter seemed to do the job and no harm was done to the engines. The trick is to find a paper roll of the correct inner core/tube diameter. Sometimes paper would have to be removed to make the correct outside diameter. This would be a nice filter for any highly visible engine such as on a hot rod or a rat rod or even a display engine. The finned case is better than advertising for an oil filter company. Some Stilko’s have a giant nut on the top of the case, this one does not and it has that clean look.

BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe arrives in the UK June – new Photos

Tue, 29 May 2012

With the new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe due in the UK in June, BMW has been busy taking new photos. It was last Christmas when BMW told us that the new Gran Coupe would be priced from £61,380 in the UK (for the entry-level 640i Gran Coupe). For some reason best known to BMW’s bean counters that seems to have gone up by a tenner since December, and the 640d has gone up by a fiver.

Peugeot 207 CC GT THP 156 Review & Road Test (2010) Part 2

Thu, 19 Aug 2010

Part 2 of our review of the Peugeot 207 CC The top’s down on the first drive, and close to home are some of my favourite twisty roads; roads I know well and for which I have a myriad of different benchmarks for test cars’ performance lodged in what passes for a brain. Sadly, my expectations and preconceptions were pretty much evidenced in the first corner, as the 207 CC turned in quite well but accompanied by some less than pleasant flexing which I expected to get worse as I pushed on. But it didn’t.

BMW 1 Series M Coupé revealed

Thu, 09 Dec 2010

The BMW 1 Series M Coupe revealed The whole argument about whether BMW would use the iconic ‘M1′ moniker on a lowly 1-Series car was finally settled (not that we ever had any doubts) back in July when BMW officially confirmed that the 1-Series M car would be known as the BMW 1 Series M Coupe. And it was happening. The official announcement saw BMW reveal an official video of the 1 Series M Coupe out on the track sporting the ubiquitous black and white swirls of camouflage so beloved of car makers with a new model to tease.
