BMW Welt hosts 'Line of Beauty' exhibition

The BMW museum is playing host to a special exhibition entitled ‘The Line of Beauty', which takes a trip through the history of the ‘big' BMW coupes and convertibles. The flagship BMW coupes and convertibles have an illustrious past and most are icons in their own right. The exhibition features 14 individual exhibits that span from the pre-war 327 and 327/28 Convertible and Coupe through to the current F12/13 6-Series.

JLR announces £16.3m Evoque_e research project

Jaguar Land Rover has announced it will invest £16.3 million into an ‘Advanced Powertrain Research Project’ – which could lead to an electric Evoque_e version of its small SUV. Jaguar Land Rover will work in conjunction with British technology company and race car manufacturer Zytek Automotive to develop new hybrid and battery-electric vehicle technology. Next Volvo XC90 to ditch dashboard buttons

VOLVO is looking to the future of in-car technology in next year's new XC90 by doing away with almost all buttons and replacing them with a new combination of a touch-screen, a head-up display and steering wheel-mounted thumb wheels. The system is designed to make better use of the available interior space while reducing distractions for the driver, but it will mean that users will have to start from scratch to learn how to operate even the car's most basic interior functions. To make it worthwhile Volvo is integrating new features like remote 'Park and Pay' applications and the ability to use and mirror Apple iOS apps in the interface.
