Up for sale today is a complete Studebaker 232 V8 engine, i.d. number V312942. According to the internet this engine came from a 1955 Commander. As I'm sure all the Studebaker people out there know practically the entire V8 engine run from Studebaker are pretty much interchangeable, so this would likely fit whatever application you need, however I encourage your own research to verify. The three speed with overdrive transmission will be removed prior to pick up or shipping, unless other arrangements are made; I intend to list it separately. This engine does not turn over, however I was told it was running when pulled. I can palletize and drop off at your shipper, or I can give you the name of a shipper I often use, however shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Storage till a convenient time for pick up is not a problem as long as payment is made. I will be listing a complete 259 cid and a bare block 259 also on different auctions. Please look at the pictures and ask questions, thanks and Good Luck!

VW Polo R confirmed for 2013

Mon, 16 May 2011

VW Polo WRC makes the case for the 4WD VW Polo R We speculated a year ago that the Polo GTI wouldn’t be the top of the Polo tree, and that Volkswagon would roll out the VW Polo R in 2012, but perhaps with FWD instead of the 4WD its big brother, the Golf R, enjoys. But just a few months later it seemed clear that we would end up getting a 4WD Polo R at some point after Audi lost its bottle at the last minute and pulled the Audi S1 badge off a FWD A1, instead calling it the Audi A1 1.4 TFSI. That change of heart by Audi – saving the S1 badge for a quattro S1 – meant that a quattro platform would be developed for the S1, and as the A1 uses the Polo platform it meant a 4WD platform would be available for the Polo too.
