This z400 cylinder was off my personal atv, changed to a big bore. Kept this on my spare parts shelf for a spare. Its been there for a while, the dirt dobber wasps have filled in some holes as it sat. So.....it needs some soap and chase the threads (always do this for proper torque readings) and light coat of paint. All the threads are good. The cylinder has some wear. No spots worn through the plating. The cylinder has definite ring wear at the top. I can't get it to show on pictures. Looking at other cylinders on eBay with aluminum showing through the worn out plating and claiming they were off low hour non smoking bikes makes me sad for unsuspecting buyers. That's the main reason I'm selling this as a core with some possible life left in it. The other reason is I think its too good to toss in the recycle bin. BUT buy it expecting to re-plate. Carl-Peter Forster a candidate to lead Jaguar Land Rover
Mon, 25 Jan 2010Jaguar Land Rover is parting company with its chief executive, David Smith, potentially clearing the way for former Opel and BMW boss Carl-Peter Forster to take control. Forster has been linked with a senior role at Jaguar Land Rover for some months. Executives at Indian automaker Tata Motors, which bought the British brands from Ford in 2008, were rumored to have been taking soundings on whether Forster was the right man for job.
