Formula Drift readies for 10th anniversary

Just two weeks after selling more tickets than ever at its 2012 season-ending event at Irwindale Speedway in Southern California, Formula Drift announced special 10th anniversary plans for the coming 2013 season. “It's crazy,” Formula Drift co-founder Jim Liaw said of the series' and sanctioning body's first 10 years. “It's kind of gone by in a blur.” That would be because it went by sideways.

The mayor of Bristol has announced that speed cameras across the city will be switched back on after they were turned off two years ago. Mayor George Ferguson said that work will start in 2014 to re-commission the 26 speed and traffic light cameras that lost funding from central government in 2011. The Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse has been officially confirmed as the world’s fastest open-top production car, having been clocked at 254.04mph.
