Consumable - 5x Synchros - synchro for each gear, reverse has no synchro

This is a comprehensive kit, it also includes the caged needle bearings which have been custom manufactured for this kit. Every bearing, oil seal, synchro and bushing is included.

What is NOT included:

Paper gasket kit - This is omitted as they are prone to leaking. Permatex RTV silicone does a much better job (available at most major automotive suppliers)

Bearing shaft circlips - These come in different thicknesses and may be available from your local Toyota spare parts dealer - Relevant part numbers will come with the kit however. I have successfully reused old circlips, however great care is required to not damage the circlips.

Please contact me if you need only a specific part from the kit. I will separate parts from the kit.

**NOTE** There are 3 known versions of the T50 gearbox. This rebuild kit is only compatible with the T50 gearboxes manufactured and delivered on cars between 5/1983 - 1986. If unsure of your gearbox type, please contact me before purchase.

How to identify your gearbox:

Count the number of splines on the output shaft of the gearbox. (You will need to remove the tailshaft). If you have 20, you have a 1st generation T50 gearbox. If you count 22 then you have either a 2nd or 3rd generation gearbox.

To tell the difference between the 3rd and 2nd generation you will need to remove the gearbox from the engine and remove the input shaft collar. Once removed you can read the part number of the bearing. 2nd generation gearboxes will have bearing part number of 30BC.... 3rd generation will will a bearing part number of 30RT.....

This kit advertised is specifically for the 2nd generation T50 only. The input shaft Nachi bearing will look identical to the one pictured.

Please contact me if you are unsure of which type of gearbox you have..

Council CCTV like 'Stasi surveillance'

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

COUNCILS rush to bankroll "Stasi surveillance" to target motorists but sack lollipop men and women as they do not swell their coffers, the Local Government Minister claimed. Brandon Lewis compared town halls' use of "CCTV spy cars" to the tactics of the secret police agency of the former East Germany, as he insisted they raise cash from parking fines on an "industrial scale". He added they target "hard-pressed parents" dropping off their children on the school run.
