TeraFlex - HD Hinged Carrier

Dedicated tooling provides a cast A356.2 T6 Aluminum main component. This keeps the carrier as light, and strong as possible. The fit and finish is designed to follow the flow and contour of the Jeep body, while seamlessly providing additional mounting points for off road accessories such as recovery jack and fluid containers. The factory Jeep body provides substantial internal gussets and bracing that easily supports the new carrier. The HD hinge brackets are forged steel and the HD 5/8” hinge pins are constructed from cold formed high-carbon hardened steel. The combination of mounting location and HD mounting brackets provides one of the strongest, rattle-free carriers on the market today. The TeraFlex HD tire carrier removes all stress from the gate by utilizing the HD reinforcement carrier as the load-carrying component; in effect it carries the weight of the tailgate assembly.

The Facelifted 2010 Nissan Qashqai Updated at the bottom with full Price and model detail for 2010. Last month we revealed that the 2010 facelift for the Nissan Qashqai was actually running ahead of the original plan, and instead of a Summer launch  as we first thought, Nissan now plans to have the 2010 Qashqai on the roads in March. We reckoned that Nissan would release first details on the facelifted Qashqai early this month, so we’re pleased to see that we were bang on the money with the first pictures of the 2010 Qashqai dropping in to our inbox this morning.

The only photo we have of the Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid Last year we reported on a range extender engine developed by Lotus for use in hybrid cars. The range extender engine was part of a joint project between Lotus, Jaguar, MIRA and Caparo in conjunction with the Technology Strategy Board and was designed to provide charge – rather than drive – for hybrid cars. A solution that seems far more elegant than the current Prius-type setups.

McLaren 12C Spider teased

McLaren has started to tease the 12C Spider – the convertible 12C – ahead of full details in the next few days. We’ve know that a convertible version of the McLaren MP4-12C – the 12C Spider – has been on the way for some time, but now it’s almost here. We thought McLaren would just come out and introduce the 12C Spider, but they can’t resist teasing, although we wonder if  McLaren might be trying to take some of the gloss off the UK debut of the Ferrari 458 Spider at Goodwood this weekend by revealing the 12C Spider before the end of the Goodwood weekend?.
