The 303 PLUS is a precise tripmeter showing distance, speed, average speed, timing, regularity target times(regular

ity target timing with optional display).

An optional remote display (Part No. T016G, NOT INCLUDED) can be fitted and this will show Interval Distance, 

Speed or Average Speed. The remote display also has 7 LED indicators, these are used on regularity rallies and

show the driver how far ahead or behind of the target speed in seconds. Optional, NOT INCLUDED remote zeroing

unit is available by either foot remote or handheld remote.


New features include performance timing, which shows acceleration and deceleration 0-60, 0-100, 0-xx (custom speed). Performance timing stores 8 results, and you can view in real time.

German Parts Pillagers Roam the American Southwest, Sending Treasures Home For Future Car Museum

Quite a few older European cars are purchased in rust-free parts of the United States and then shipped back to the home continent, and this process tends to intensify when the Euro gets stronger versus the dollar. While that's going on, crews of European gearheads also roam the wrecking yards of the Southwest, filling shipping containers with parts to ship back home; I know of a trio of Swedes who come to Colorado every year and ship home tons of parts, but they've got nothing on this pair of Germans. These gentlemen fly to the United States four times each year, spending two or three weeks each trip, and send home cars and shipping containers packed with parts, all as part of a scheme to open up a car collection showcasing "cars from the road." They were kind enough to send me a bunch of photos of their most recent trip, so let's see what their enviable lifestyle looks like.

It wasn't until recently that Russians understood that Chevrolet Corvette chief engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov, the patron saint of the America's sports car, was a Russian. Now, there seems to be intense media interest in this fact in a country that is waking up to all things automotive related. Arkus-Duntov's life and work is on display at the Alexander Solzhenitsyn Center for Russian Emigres in Moscow.
