Up for auction are 2 front bumpers and 1 rear bumper that fit on an early model BMW 2002 or 1602. The rear and one of the front bumpers came off of the same car.  These bumpers were removed from a car in 1976 and stored inside since then.  Of this pair only the rear one has the brackets attached.   The other front bumper, I was told is also the short style bumper, but was put on a 1973 model.  Supposedly, the huge brackets that are attached to this front bumper are the ones used to attach this bumper to a 1973 model.  I do not know if that information is correct.  It is possible that the larger brackets fit an even later year car.  If anyone viewing this ad has any insight into the larger brackets, please post in questions or comments.  The bumpers are in good condition, but they are not show room condition..  The bumper guards are fair. Some of the bumper guards have some rust.    The bumper guards from the front bumper that is part of the pair have been removed but are included an pictured as well..  I have taken several pictures from all different angles of all of the three bumpers. If you have any questions, please call  or text 312 671 3222.  I would like to sell them as a group.  The front bumper with the large brackets weighs a little over 25 pounds.  The rear bumper with the brackets and bumper guards weighs a little over 15 pounds.  The front bumper with out the bumper guards ( the bumper guards are included in the sale ) weighs about 10 pounds.  I am guessing that the bumper guards alone weigh about 5 pounds or so.   Buyer  will pay for the shipping.  Unfortunately, the ad specifies a dollar amount for shipping, but that is probably inaccurate. ( I am trying to get that removed).

CAR Most Wanted of 2014: Ferrari 458 Speciale

Mon, 23 Dec 2013

By the CAR road-test team First Official Pictures 23 December 2013 10:50 The first time we checked out the Ferrari 458 Speciale, it was parked tantalisingly in the bowels of the Ferrari’s Maranello factory. Tech boss Roberto Fedeli told us how Ferrari had calculated the Speciale would be an even higher performer: 10% lighter, 11% faster response, 40% quicker through the gearbox, and squeezing out an extra 34bhp from its 4.5-litre V8. Since then, we’ve driven the 202mph 458 Speciale, which Ferrari claims is different (not better than) a 458 Italia, and designed to appeal to a different kind of customer.

Vauxhall Zafira Tourer concept (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show

Fri, 25 Feb 2011

Vauxhall has put away the hologram projector and sent us proper photos of the Zafira Tourer concept, prior to its debut at the 2011 Geneva motor show Vauxhall has sought to create a comfortable, relaxing lounge ambience with the interior of the new Zafira, shown here in concept car form.  Vauxhall's trademark Flex7 seating now allows the middle row of seats to fold flat into the floor. The Zafira Tourer also boasts a 'lounge seat' middle row. Similar to the Vauxhall Meriva and other MPVs on the market, this allows the centre chair to drop down, liberating extra space for two middle-row passengers.  The interior is richly trimmed in caramel-coloured leather, with contrasting dark brown trim on the doors, and deep-pile carpets. This is not your usual toddler-resistant troop-carrier fare.
