Citroen at the Paris motor show 2008

Thu, 02 Oct 2008

By James Foxall Motor Shows 02 October 2008 11:59 Citroen is one of the show stealers this year with a stunning-looking concept car that you can actually drive, courtesy of a tie-up with PlayStation. But the firm’s stand had something for everyone, with 34 models including the new C3 Picasso, BMW X6-like Hypnos concept and even a hybrid World Rally Championship car.  This was the first car the firm unveiled in Paris and the one it spent most time talking about. It’s a Renault Modus-rivalling baby people carrier which goes on sale early in 2009.

Subaru Impreza STI Cosworth (2010): first teaser photo

Thu, 11 Feb 2010

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 11 February 2010 15:40 Subaru has whet the appetite of hot hatch fans with this annoyingly restricted teaser shot of a new collaboration with Cosworth: the new Impreza STI wearing a Cossie badge. The company calls it 'a special one-off project', but the project appears to shun Prodrive who have fettled many of the go-faster official Subaru Imprezas of the past decade.Subaru Impreza STI Cosworth: what else do we know?Very little. Only a short marketing blurb was issued today, giving away no further facts. Here's what they told us:'Two of the biggest names in automotive performance have come together to work on a special one-off project, and the result promises to be truly staggering.  Subaru UK and Cosworth have enhanced the performance, handling and styling of the acclaimed Impreza STI, creating a car that will raise the bar for all-wheel-drive, high-performance motoring.

Merdad vision of the Range Rover Evoque – the Evoque Mer-Nazz

Tue, 25 Oct 2011

The Merdad Evoque Mer-Nazz We’re already starting to see the first efforts of the pimpers, tuners, modders and customisers on the new Range Rover Evoque surfacing, and the latest is the Merdad Evoque Mer-Nazz Regular readers with good memories will remember Merdad as the man unfortunate enough to be the UK arm of the Gemballa operation when everything went wrong for Uwe Gemballa. That meant the end of Gemballa in the UK, but Merdad has bounced back with his now eponymous company to create extreme cars for those with tastes for more unsubtle forms of car customisation. Merdad’s first effort was a very Gembala-esque two-door Cayenne, but he went British with a subsequent effort when he created the McLaren MP4-12C MehRon, which we took to be an homage to Ron Dennis.
