This brass-screen 2-hole oil filter is interchangeable with an OEM Dacron 2-hole oil filter and the 1960-1963 coarse-mesh factory steel screen as well as applications using a 1-hole filter up to 1997. The 1960-1965 Torqueflite 727 & 904 require the 2-hole design, as they used a second pump located in the rear of the transmission; besides giving the “push-start” capability to those years, the rear pump also supplied the operating pressure for the governor which controls upshifts and downshifts in conjunction with throttle pressure. The 2-hole design was not necessary for correct Torqueflite operation AFTER the 1965 model year. Brass screen filter comes with a 2-hole gasket to seal the filter to the valve body. Shipping $ 7.55 via Priority Mail. We ship purchases twice weekly, Wednesdays and Saturdays. We also stock stamped steel deep pan kits for the 1962-1965 TF-727. We also have available on auctions or our eBay Store most Torqueflite 727 & 904 “soft” parts in “open stock”, available by the piece (gaskets, seals, bushings, ‘O’ rings, clutch discs, steel plates, lip seals, bands, thrust washers, filters, metal sealing rings, etc.) or in “sub-kits” for single-function repair; most Torqueflite 727 & 904 “hard” parts also available. See a selection of other Mopar parts on our eBay store site: T’Flite Patty’s Shop Mart. Prefer PayPal; contact us if you experience difficulty signing up with PayPal.

RETURNS: new or used parts received back from purchaser must be in “as-originally-shipped” condition, having not been installed, modified, damaged or changed from original configuration in any way. Purchaser is responsible for insurance coverage for any damage occurring during transit either direction. Refund will be made in the same form as original payment within 7 days after we receive the returned parts.

Kia Ray Concept at Chicago Motor Show

Thu, 21 Jan 2010

Kia wil preview the Kia Ray Concept plug-in hybrid at the Chicago Motor Show next month Yes, the Detroit Motor Show is only just about done, but waiting in the wings is the rather less fancy Chicago Motor Show (although they probably won’t thank us for describing it as such). But despite Chicago being a lower key affair than Detroit they will still get their share of new stuff. Well, not necessarily new (we reported that North America gets the BMW Alpina B7 which will debut at Chicago) but certainly new to the US.
