Why purchase a REMANUFACTURED Starter assembly instead of a CHINA NEW?

OUR Remanufactured assemblies are built using the original OE "core", and maintain the highest quality materials as built into the original unit.

China NEW are built using Chinese materials- not to OE material specifications, for example:

a.   Copper purity in starter armature, field coil and solenoid are not to the original OE specifications (less conductivity)

b.   Starter copper windings (length) in armature, solenoid, field coil not to OE specifications (less output)

c.   Starter brushes often soft or brittle density (not to OE specifications (shorter life)

d.   Housings- aluminum purity not to OE specifications -tooling not to OE specifications- reverse engineered from core sample.

e.   Internal components- Not to OE specifications, designed by China factory based on their reverse engineering designs.

In general, China created specifications, tested to China specifications, and built with China labor results in the lowest “acceptable” cost to US Distributors.  These China assemblies are not equal to the original assembly specifications and original components.

With our remanufactured from original OE assemblies, you receive the quality, value and durability you expect.

As a Supplier of both NEW and REMANUFACTURED assemblies, we have the expertise and knowledge based on years of experience in building, assembling and both starter motors and alternators.  We have our own in house production lines that produce both NEW and REMANUFACTURED assemblies.  Both are built with the same care and attention to detail necessary to insure Quality, Durability, and Long Life. Our team has over 20 year’s average experience PE in building and remanufacturing these assemblies.  With this strong background of experience, we know where the critical components and potential failure issues are, and build with this knowledge to prevent future similar failures.

Our assembly lines have computerized test stands that have the identical testing parameters as those on the test stands in the original production factories.  The assemblies are tested through the complete range of operation, (simulation of vehicle operation) and output curves are then compared by computer to insure compliance with individual specifications and ranges.  Only then after passing this comprehensive testing are our assemblies released.

We take no short cuts or supply modified assemblies. In our remanufacturing process, all assembly cores are completely torn down to sub-component level. All components are then tested to the original component specifications, and those that do not meet specifications are 100% replaced. Using the original "cores" provides you with the confidence that you are receiving the best assembly.

Our assembly internal components are identical to the original.  Copper windings are to the Original specification and correct purity.  Brushes meet the original specifications. The pinion is correctly tempered and hardened to OE specification.  The starter solenoid has the same gauge copper wire and correct "length" in windings as the original solenoid.  With our assemblies, you can be assured you are receiving the highest quality at competitive pricing!

All Remanufactured assemblies are produced in the US with our US Production team!!
New assemblies are built to our specific specifications and tested 100% on our computer test stands before released from production. We have our own brand, Installer’s Select, which is know industry wide and respected as a high quality line of starters and alternators.
